What is “Fractional Ownership?
“Fractional Ownership” is essentially the old-fashioned time-share. A number of people each pay for the right to use a facility for a specific period of time each year. The benefit is that, as a “fractional owner”, you receive a deed for your share of the cottage and can sell it, rent it or leave it to your heirs.Most cottages sit idle for extended periods of time every year. There is no one around to attend to environmental concerns and/or deter possible intruders. This is not the case with ‘fractional ownership’.
All maintenance is taken care of, for you. There is no opening / closing of the cottage, no repairing the roof, no painting, no raking, no grass cutting, no snow shoveling, etc. NO WORK or WORRIES. Going to the cottage should be about relaxing and getting away from it all.
The cottage is ready when your family and/or friends arrive. The beds will be made with ‘Your Own Personally Monogrammed Sheets and Pillow Cases’, and when your stay is over you will have your own locker to store your personal items till your next visit. Just pack and go, and the cottage will be made ready for the next folks when they arrive. Once again, NO WORK or WORRIES. “That’s what cottaging should be about”.
