Jervis Bay Cottage

Owner's Comments

Charming Jervis Bay Cottage was originally built from recycled materials in 1940, and has been recently renovated. The exterior siding is made of red cedar shingles, and painted trim. The property (500' X 38') is lined on both sides with young cedar trees and is situated on the brow of a hill. A lovely "natural" deck overlooks Lake Huron, and 2 picnic tables with chairs are provided for you. Convenient stairs and 3 restful benches lead down to the sand beach.

The lake bottom can be rocky, so water shoes are recommended for a more enjoyable swim. The cozy, rustic interior boasts a refinished pine floor, and is furnished with a welcoming antique square extension table which can be extended to seat 12 people. A coffee percolator, condiments (salt/pepper/coffee/sugar),bedding for 2 double beds, some towels, wash-cloths, and tea towels are included. Firewood is also included for the wood stove/fireplace.
